The horizontal slip table is designed to have high tilting moment and lateral restriction. This design concept is combined with standard horizontal slip table to enable high dynamic moment limit and keep guide oil film damping feature. The horizontal slip table is composed of a slipper, a connector, a natural granite slab, horizontal slip table base and an independent oil source.
Slip Table is ideally suited for sequential 3-axis test. The slip table integrated shaker/slip table design offers numerous critical technical features. These features result in long term durability, high performance and reliability, structural integrity, building isolation, and simplified operation.
The slip plate top surface is supplied drilled and fitted with inserts at the time of ordering. It cannot be overstressed that additional drilling should not be contemplated or in fact any work which could adversely affect the flatness of the table. The fixture must be flat to within 0.10 mm. It is essential that before operating the table a check should be made that the slip plate will slide freely with only a light hand push-pull. If the plate does not move freely, it will be necessary to shim between the plate and the fixture. Failure to observe the above will result in damage to the bearings and / or the underside of the plate.
The surface of magnesium is prone to rapid oxidation, particularly in the presence of moisture. It is therefore recommended that a moisture displacing lubricant be used as a protective film at all times.
